Disposable gas detectors are low cost but users can suffer high failure rates, this can result in safety concerns. Users often find the cost of ownership often outweighs the small initial cost saving over a reliable renewable gas detector. Customers constantly have to replace failed units resulting in personnel down time and the lost productivity .
The Riken Keiki 03 series are personal single gas monitors designed for protection from exposure to combustible hydrocarbons, oxygen deficiency, hydrogen sulfide, or carbon monoxide. Customers can specify models for LEL, O2, H2S, or CO detection. Users of the O3 series find the units are robust, reliable, long-lasting, and cost effective. In addition they have a digital display, can be calibrated, and are dust and water-resistant (IP-67). The O3 series has a replaceable rubber boot in addition users can data log from 5 to 300 hours with adjustable intervals.
The units are Intrinsically safe and have ATEX approval making them ideal for use in hazardous areas. The O3 series is Pocket size 2.1”(W) x 2.6”(H) x 0.9” and Light weight 80g.
Each model ( except the GP-03 ) operates continuously for at least 3,000 hours on (2) AAA size alkaline batteries. The GP-03 operates for 35 hours (NiMH batteries are also optionally available).
The 03 series personal single gas monitors have 2 preset alarms. The user can adjust the alarms to their own levels if desired. Each version is equipped with visual, audible, and vibration alarms as standard. The replacement sensors are inexpensive. Users can replace the sensors in the field. Customers can expect Sensors to have a life expectancy of 2-3 years in addition they are interchangeable with other Riken Keiki monitors.
An optional watch strap accessory can be specified allowing the user to wear the instrument on their wrist,in addition a calibration station SDM-03 is available
